Torrot Muvi leads the list of best-selling electric mopeds for the third month running

- For the fourth time this year and for the third month running, in September the MUVI is the best selling electric scooter. It is also the second most sold when taking traditional internal combustion engine mopeds into account.- The Torrot MUVI has become the biggest selling moped of 2017 and accounts for almost half the registrations of electric mopeds. - Electric mopeds are bucking the downward trend in the motorcycle market, and sales and registration figures just keep growing.

The registrations of mopeds and motorcycles in the month of August, made public by the National Two Wheel Company Association (ANESDOR), show the Torrot MUVI as absolute market leader in the electric moped sector and also in the overall cumulative ranking taking into account internal combustion engine mopeds.

The Torrot MUVI has become for the third consecutive month, and the fourth time so far this year, the best-selling electric moped in our country, with a total of 162 units registered in September. A figure that at the same time also makes this Torrot scooter model the second best-selling moped during the month of September and absolute market leader for electric mopeds in 2017, with 1,001 units sold.

While motorcycles powered by fossil fuels show a steady decline in registrations, mainly due to problems with adaptation to the new, highly demanding Euro4 regulations; the new Torrot Muvi - a model that was already in advance of the European electric regulation 168/2013 that came into force at the beginning of this year - overcomes the difficulties of the sector thanks to its energy efficiency, becoming the model of moped with the highest number of registrations in Spain during the months of April, July and August, as well as in the accumulated total during the first nine months of the year.

THE TORROT MUVI, THE MOST ADVANCED ELECTRIC MOPED

Torrot Muvi is the first low-weight electric scooter designed for urban and inter-urban travel with Torrot BMS (Battery Management System) technology. This scooter does not generate pollutant emissions, has led lights and removable batteries that can be charged in all types of socket. The bikes are connected via the latest generation of smartphones so the rider receives all the information of on the state the vehicle, battery charge and much more. Torrot manufactures the Muvi in a 15,000 square meter factory in Salt (Girona) with the help of a hundred professionals.
